I have been fascinated by computers since before I had one. In the 90-s, I learned from whatever technical material I could find - mostly old magazines covering BASIC, Pascal and assembly - and wrote programs on paper because there was no machine available to run them on. By the mid-2000s, I was already taking on programming and web-development projects.

For the past 20 years I have worked across a wide range of software engineering roles, from full-stack development to backend architecture, distributed systems and technical leadership. I have helped small companies build their first products, joined growing consulting teams at an early stage and delivered large production platforms for several US Fortune 500 companies.

Over time, I became increasingly drawn to systems where correctness and operational behaviour matter. Functional Scala became my preferred working language in the JVM ecosystem, but I still care more about the needs of the system than defending a particular stack. I have worked across multiple JVM technologies, C++, Python, Go, Rust, assembly and I enjoy exploring areas such as reverse engineering and hardware systems.

The recent years of my career led me into the field of algorithmic trading, where I focused on exchange connectivity, execution infrastructure, smart order routing and low-latency data storage systems. And once you start chasing the nanoseconds in this field, there's no easy way back.
